Our Q+A Night is an unique opportunity for Chattanooga runners to hear from some of our awesome staff about their unique running journeys. Here, you'll have the chance to ask Q+A questions related to weight loss, running while pregnant, ultra marathons, and everything in between!
Speakers include David Pharr and Mia Myers. They both will talk about their running experiences, before leading a short Q+A session!
Seven years ago, 315-pound David Pharr started running two miles a day in attempts to lose weight. What started as an obligation to shed pounds unexpectedly spiraled into a sincere passion. Today, 100 pounds lighter, Pharr is an avid ultramarathoner, averaging about 50 miles a week and completing at least five ultras each year.
Mia Myers found out she was pregnant in the midst of training for the Chicago Marathon. An enthusiastic runner, Myers had no intention of letting her pregnancy prevent her from continuing rigorous training. On October 8, Myers crossed the finish line of Chicago's 26.2-mile course in 3:35:25. Now halfway through her pregnancy, she is still logging miles and competing in smaller-scale races!
Mark your calendars for this one-of-a-kind night on Dec. 15 at 6pm, and be inspired by the insights of these two dedicated athletes!
